Born and raised in South Florida, Jourdan Black spent the majority of her life dreaming of becoming a broadcast journalist.

Jourdan’s passion cultivated when she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to study in the prestigious School of Media and Journalism.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in electronic journalism in 2016. During her time as a Tar Heel, Jourdan worked with Sports Xtra, Blue Blood Rivalry TV, WPLG Local 10 News, the Carolina Hurricanes’ CanesVision, and in the UNC Football Office as a recruiting assistant.

After graduation, Jourdan accepted a job as a weekend sports anchor and reporter for The Delta News in Greenville, Mississippi, a CBS/ABC affiliate. While at The Delta News, Jourdan has anchored weekday and weekend sportscasts, reported live from sporting events all across Mississippi and beyond–including the DII College World Series, SEC football games, and celebrity golf tournaments.

Jourdan produces and hosts her own 30-minute show on Sunday evenings, “Overtime”, for which she has cultivated a number of segments including Beyond the Game, In Case You Missed It, the Overtime Extra Point, and Jour’s Four.
