Kim Betton has an extensive background in television news.  From local news, entertainment reporting, to policy on Capitol Hill, Kim has a wide range of anchoring and reporting experience that has helped to build her successful career.

Kim worked her way up through the ranks starting out in Abilene, Texas  at KTXS-TV and topping out in Washington, DC at NBC4 and USA Today Sky Radio.  Her experience also includes FOX 13 News in Memphis, KARK 4 News in Little Rock and WKBW-TV Buffalo, NY. At KQXL-FM in Baton Rouge she worked as a popular live-open phones radio talk show host.

Kim has taught broadcast journalism at Howard University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.  She is also a freelance writer.  Some of her work has been published in Heart & Soul Magazine and Washington, DC’s PowerPlay Magazine.
Kim is a 2016 Telly Award Winner for Video/Film Government Relations and 3x Salute to Excellence nominee for TV News, Digital and Magazine (Print) by the National Association of Black Journalists.

Kim is the former president and founder of the Central Arkansas Association of Black Journalists.    She is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Washington, Association of Black Journalists, American Federation of Radio and Television Artists, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  In her spare time, Kim enjoys the theatre, singing Broadway show tunes and spending time with family and friends.
