Nolan Knight was a three-sport athlete in high school and fell in love with the grit, competition, and storylines in sports.

Nolan Knight graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Multimedia Journalism with a Cognate in Sports Marketing and a minor in Sociology.

While at Virginia Tech Nolan was involved in multiple student clubs and organizations including the schools newspaper the Collegiate Times, the school’s student radio station WUVT and IMG College Group where he was the lead play-by-play broadcaster on ESPN 3 and ACC Network broadcasts of the school’s Olympic sports coverage. During his senior year, he was a sports anchor for WVVA while they were short staffed.

Nolan also spent time in a summer collegiate league the Northwoods League as the voice of the Green Bay Bullfrogs for the summer of 2018 and time in the Coastal Plains League as the voice of the Petersburg Generals.

After graduating Nolan worked part-time as a weekend sports anchor/reporter at a station in the Bluefield, WV market.   He was then hired as a full-time weekend sports person at a competing station in the market.
