Rachel Kilmer is a University of Missouri graduate and a Kansas City native. She is currently working in Kansas City for Spectrum Sports.
Rachel got her start in the business at KNOP-TV in North Platte, Nebraska where she was the first female sports anchor to call the market home.
Rachel then went to Wichita where she spent two years at KAKE-TV covering all things college basketball and Kansas City sports. Rachel covered the Royals historic run to back-to-back pennants and World Series Championship. She also was there when the Shockers and Jayhawks finally met again in the NCAA tournament. She also followed the Jayhawks in KU’s 2016 Elite 8 run. While Rachel loves the big games, it’s the stories off the beaten path that really make her job interesting. She’s covered rodeo, bowling, boxing, trapshooting, rowing, horseshoes and everything in between.
When Rachel is not watching sports, you can find her running around with Bruno, her big, slobbery Bullmastiff. She also loves to read, workout, and spend time at church.
