Carolyn Cerda got her start in TV news behind the scenes. She was a producer at the NBC owned station in Dallas when the West Fertilizer Plant exploded just outside of Waco. Not long after that she decided to get in front of the camera.
Carolyn anchors weekend evenings on WEAR-TV and reports in Pensacola. Prior to arriving on the Emerald Coast, Carolyn was the evening anchor for the ABC affiliate stations in southern Illinois, and Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Carolyn enjoys being involved with her community. She volunteers with her sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and other organizations. She’s also passionate about mentoring young and aspiring journalists, and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
