Star Harvey

Star Harvey is currently the evening weathercaster at KREX/KFQX, the CBS and Fox affiliated duopoly in Grand Junction, CO. She provides weekday weather reports for the 5, 6, 6:30, 9 and 10 pm newscasts.  Star joined KREX/KFQX in 2018 as a multimedia journalist and worked her way to a full-time weather position.

While Star has always had a love for storytelling and using her platform to give a voice to people in the community, she fell in love with forecasting and being able to give viewers the most accurate weather forecast impacting their lives.   She also enjoys sharing her knowledge of weather with young meteorologists and mentoring the youth in her community through her Junior Forecasters segment.

A native of Los Angeles, Star received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She currently attends Mississippi State University (MSU) where she plans to achieve her degree in Meteorological Science to further extend her knowledge and become a broadcast meteorologist.

When Star is not working she enjoys spending time with her son Bryce and taking family trips. Her hobbies include exploring new restaurants, participating in community events and attending kick-boxing classes.
